Oh, what a year!
We are now into our last few days of the year, it is so hard to believe.
It has been an absolute pleasure teaching Room 23 this year.
I am so proud of all of the children, they have worked hard, jumped into the Learning Pit (as well as jumping into all sorts of mischief at camp). They have extended themselves, learnt new things and had fun along the way.
I was looking back at all of the photo's from this year, and had forgotten many of the trips and experiences that we have had. I had forgotten our boarded up wall and noises of the building demolition from Term 1. That inconvenience gave us the amazing MLE space we now all rely on every day.
This is my first senior class, and this is the worst time of year for a Year 6 teacher. I am not quite ready to say goodbye to my Year 6's.
It is going to be a very exciting, although sad day on Wednesday when I have to say goodbye to this remarkable bunch of children.
To my Year 5's, go on great things next year. Take pride in being the leaders of the school, take all the opportunities that you can, and enjoy your final year at primary school. I look forward to seeing you next year.
To my Year 6's, it is with regret that I have to say good-bye. I so enjoyed our dinner together on Wednesday night. I am sure the boys were trying to teach me some new table manners, although I'm not too sure I will use them all. I sadly had to miss Thursday and the Trampoline Park, as my sinus infection (which I have been trying to fight all week), finally got the better of me.
I would love to keep you all, however you are all so ready for the next challenges of Intermediate School. I will miss you. Please come back and see me and let me know what astounding things you are getting up to.
I am sure that there will be some tears next week, I don't think (or hope) that I will be the only one.
All the best, Mrs Hall.
