This week the Lorax reading group were building their inference skills. We were reading property adverts and trying to interpret the actual meaning of the text.
We found the facts and then the opinions in the text and discussed the meaning of the statements made. We then discussed why Real Estate Agents wrote the advertisements as they did.
This was one of the adverts that we looked at:
The children have now selected a picture from the Property Press and are writing their own advertisement to sell the property they selected.
